How vehicles work in Rebirth.
- Most vehicles come from wrecks. Look for wrecks marked (Repairable) in POIs and along roads. Open one to see its part slots. A wreck spawns with a few random parts already fitted at quality 1–2. Fill every empty slot, then press Hotwire, which uses up a Hotwire Kit. Bicycles use Repair and a Bicycle Repair Kit instead. You can siphon the gas out of a wreck first.
- Parts come from taking other wrecks apart with a disassembly tool, from loot, and from traders. Better parts make a better vehicle; see the Garage tab.
- Only four vehicles can be crafted: Minibike, Motorcycle, 4x4 and Gyrocopter. Bicycles also turn up as loot. Traders sell the Motorcycle, 4x4, Helicopter and sometimes a Gyrocopter or Warthog.
- Vehicles with Hive are only available in the Hive scenario.

Tune a vehicle. Every repair part has a quality. Its quality rolls a hidden performance score: Q1 = 0, Q2 12–28%, Q3 32–48%, Q4 52–68%, Q5 72–88%, Q6 92–100%. Each part type improves one thing: the engine boosts acceleration (small engines also add speed), the transmission top speed, the alternator turbo speed, the fuel pump fuel economy, the carburetor turbo economy, spark plugs torque, the starter throttle response, the radiator hill climbing, the battery reverse speed, and the wheels (averaged) handling and braking. The garage uses the middle of each roll range. Mods are vanilla vehicle mods and stack on top of the parts.

Green numbers are the change from the stock vehicle (all slots filled at Q1, no mods).
Pick up to four vehicles. Stock stats (Q1 parts, no mods); the best value in each row is green.
Look, don't touch. These vehicles are in Rebirth's files but you can't own one in a normal game. Some (most of Vehicle Madness's extras) have no wreck, recipe, trader or loot source. The Motocross Bike and Armored Buggy have wrecks, but Rebirth has their spawns switched off.
